Valencia CF and Banco de Alimentos: a powerful alliance supporting Valencian society

The collaboration, which began in 2020, has enabled the distribution of over 3 million kilos of essential food items, benefiting 131,500 people.
Valencia CF, the VCF Foundation, and Banco de Alimentos food bank continue their shared mission of supporting vulnerable members of valencian society. Over five years of partnership between the club and the Food Bank, a total of 3.149.445 kg of essential food supplies have been distributed, reaching 131,500 individuals in need.
Five Years of Support for Valencian Society
In May 2020, Mestalla officially became one of Valencia’s main food donation centres. Since then, a total of 3.149.445 kg of essential food items have been distributed through monthly aid deliveries to 131.500 recipients. To this day, Mestalla opens its doors two days a week, every other week.
Additionally, 7.522 solidarity bags have been provided to families in precarious situations while they completed the necessary documentation to access the monthly distribution system.
Mestalla as a Key Collection Point
The two institutions joined forces at the onset of the DANA catastrophe, which severely impacted the Valencia region. They organised an emergency aid initiative to support citizens in the hardest-hit municipalities.
The club opened the doors of Mestalla to the public, turning it into a drop-off point for food and essential goods. The response from Valencia CF supporters and the broader community was overwhelming, with 1.056.750 kg of items collected.
Other notable solidarity events included the “Nit de Nadal” in December 2024 and the “Nit de Reis” in January 2025, during which 303 children received gifts during the special holiday occasions.
